Aaron Aiken

Aaron Dane Aiken is a fifth-year broadcast journalism senior. He was born and raised in Austin and graduated from Bowie High School in 2003.

Aaron began studying broadcasting as a college freshman at the University of Colorado at Boulder. There, he began volunteering as an anchor and crew member for a weekly television program which reported on university athletics. Since coming to the University of Texas, Aaron has continued practicing sports broadcasting, working primarily in the sports departments at KVR-TV and KVRX-FM. He is currently the producer for KVR’s College Pressbox Update and assistant director of Live Sports broadcasting. Aaron's duties at KVR include shooting and editing video for the station's sports broadcasts as well as directing and anchoring shows.

Aaron will graduate in 2009 and intends to have a career as a sports radio broadcaster. Away from school, Aaron spends his time watching sports and avidly following his favorite team, the Colorado Buffaloes. In addition to sports, Aaron also enjoys listening to music, playing bass and driving across the southwestern United States.
